Images of Nudes (ION) Magazine is a free, independent, community-oriented digital magazine that celebrates the beauty and artistry of the human figure through art and photography. Please send an email to submissions@ion-magazine.com before making a submission.
Submit 12 - 20 photographs, following the image specifications on page 2. Each feature set must be connected in some way, such as a model appearing in a series of images, a style or technique, or a theme involving multiple models. To be considered for the cover page, include one or two implied nude photographs in portrait (vertical) orientation with generous negative space. Allow sufficient space at either the top left or the top right corner for the ION Magazine logo.
All models must be 18 years or older when photographed. Images submitted must not be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations.
Unpublished work is preferred. However, previously published work may also be submitted.
Along with your images, you are invited to submit a title and a story (around 100 - 500 words) about where, why and how you made the photograph.
Models and photographers are encouraged to include a short (around 50 - 300 words) biography along with a recent profile photograph (square, JPEG format, recommended 600 x 600 pixels minimum).
All submissions must be accompanied by contributor credits, along with contact details, social media and website links, if applicable. Credits, profiles and stories should be supplied as a text (.txt), rich text format (.rtf), Pages (.pages) or Microsoft Word (.doc) document.
Any work selected for the magazine may be featured on the magazine homepage, Facebook, Instagram, social media, and other platforms.
Do not attach or embed the image files in your email.

Digital images should be supplied in JPEG (.jpg) file format, 80% JPEG compression or better, 300ppi resolution, between 2,400 pixels (minimum) up to 5400 pixels (maximum) on the longest side. Colour space: sRGB. No borders and no watermarks.
Label the image files with your name and a sequence number.
If you wish, you can supply watermarked web images in JPEG (.jpg) file format, 70-80% JPEG compression, 72dpi resolution with a maximum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Colour space: sRGB. Watermarks should be small and unobtrusive. If web images are not supplied, the magazine images may be resized accordingly.
By submitting photographs for publication in ION Magazine, you acknowledge that you own the copyright and/or that you have the legal right to submit these image(s). You grant ION Magazine a non-exclusive licence to use the photograph(s) in their submitted form, subject to re-sizing and cropping to fit the magazine format, and for publication on the ION Magazine website. You have obtained all necessary releases and licences, and you have copies of proof of age (e.g. photo ID or passport) records of each model depicted in the images.
There is no fee to submit work to ION Magazine. As the magazine is free, you can download a copy of the digital magazine that you can share and use for promotional purposes. In addition, as a contributor (photographer or model), you may request a print-ready PDF version by sending an email to the editor. However, you must not sell or redistribute copies of the magazine in any form for profit.
